Biography
Jiani Lin (b. 2008) is a Chinese composer, educator, critic, and researcher, whose life works integrate musical artistry alongside sophisticated pedagogical expertise. In 2026, she completed her high school diploma at the North America International School in Shanghai, China. In 2025, Jiani earned a Professional Certificate in General Music Studies from Berklee Online at Berklee College of Music.
Jiani earned significant international acclaim, most recently receiving the platinum prize at the European Winter Music Competition in the artist category for her piano performance and first prize at the Clementi International Music Competition in the original composition category.
As an educator, Jiani stays up to date with current trends in educational philosophy by participating in asynchronous professional development courses and workshops. In 2026, she completed the Practitioner Certificate in Question Formulation from Harvard University and the AI for the K-12 Classroom: Tools and Strategies for Educators from Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2025, Jiani completed the Effective Classroom Conversation and 21st-Century Teaching & Learning: Data Science courses from Stanford University. Also in 2025, Jiani completed the Universal Design for Learning Practitioner Certificate at Harvard University.
